Chemka Hot Springs

Between Arusha and Moshi is an oasis known as Chemka Hot Springs. This wonder of nature is created by underground streams breaking through the surface in two adjacent pools tunnelleed together through centuries of erosion. The water remains the same temerature year round due to it being heated by the volcano below. But don't let the name "Hot Spring" fool you, this water is closer to an ideal swimming pool. Refreshing but not cold. The springs are home to little fish that like to eat the dead skin from your feet, but don't worry, they are harmles From time to time you can see colobus monkeys, turtles, monitors, and other lizards visiting the pools.

This tour can also be tied in with visiting the Materuni Waterfalls, Tanzania's third highest waterfall.

It can also be combined with the Maasai tours and done by bike.

While visiting you can also go to nearby Kikuletwa Waterfalls.

All tours come with lunch.

There is also the opportunity to visit Chemka Hot Springs on an overnight trip to a Chagga Village in Marangu.
